🖤 We’re Hiring Salon Assistant

Smoke & Mirrors Hair & Barber Lounge is seeking a motivated Salon Assistant to join our creative team in Rangiora.

This casual position (8–20 hours per week) offers hands on experience in a fast paced, supportive environment, with the potential to grow into part time or full time employment. For the right candidate, an apprenticeship opportunity may be available in 2026.

The role involves assisting our stylists and barbers with:

• 
  Shampooing, head massages, and basin services
  
• 
  Rinsing colour, applying toners, and providing finishing services such as blow waves and GHD styling
  
• 
  Maintaining salon presentation and supporting daily operations
  

We’ll provide comprehensive training to ensure all services are performed to the Smoke & Mirrors standard, but previous salon experience or completion of a Salon Support Certificate is required.
